Russia's largest agro-technical exhibition "Russian field day – 2019" held from 10 to 12 July in Leningrad region on the basis of St. Petersburg state agrarian University. The event, which involved more than 8 thousand farmers, was opened by the Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev. In the framework of the business program on July 11 held a plenary session "the Results of sowing and harvesting works in the Russian Federation in 2019", which was attended by NSA.

"This year, the agricultural insurance system has undergone qualitative changes – came into force a new law on crop insurance, introduced additional incentives for farmers, the process of subsidizing crop insurance and taken control of the Ministry of agriculture. As a result, even according to preliminary data of NSA, the spring sowing is already insured on an area of over 2 million hectares, which exceeded the total figure for the entire 2018 (1.2 million ha), – said the President of the NSA. – Today is the question of further adaptation possibilities of the system of crop insurance to the needs of different areas of agricultural production. Discussion of this was held in the framework of the field Day with the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on agrarian and food policy and environmental management Alexey Mayorov, and a number of heads of regional bodies of agrarian and industrial complex".

One of the vectors of agricultural development at the moment specified by digitalization – this topic was discussed at the conference "the Digitalization of agricultural production: precision farming as a basis of increase of competitiveness of domestic agricultural producers", organized by the Ministry of agriculture in the framework of the business program of the forum. The head of the agrarian Committee of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Alexey Mayorov and President of NSA Roots of Beidou jointly submitted in the framework of this event.

Active participation in the program of the exhibition were representatives of regions. The NSA delegation exchanged views with the leadership of the agricultural agencies of the Stavropol territory, the Voronezh, Tambov, Orel regions and the Republic of Udmurtia. Agreement was reached on the holding this year of the outreach work for the Voronezh and Tambov areas, Republic Udmurtiya and others.
