In July, "Auchan Retail Russia" has completed the eco-marathon, which took place in 50 cities across the country for two months. The main goal was to attract employees and customers to environmental problems and to reduce the negative impact on the environment. The most active cities-participants were Volgograd, Krasnodar, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Perm, Chelyabinsk and Moscow.
During the shell eco-marathon the staff and representatives of local administrations participated in the improvement of urban areas.
