The head of the Department on transportation of cargoes in covered wagons of JSC "FGC" Denis Katkov explained that the priority range for loading non-ferrous metals became the Krasnoyarsk railway, where the volume of the item of goods increased 17-fold to 3.5 tonnes. The increase is due to the increase in the proportion of covered wagons of JSC "FGC" in the aluminum load.

"We have increased the technological efficiency of the boxcar fleet, increased volumes and reduced costs for the empty flight, including due to the growth in the number of double operations. For example, cars with electrodes made of the Sayanogorsk aluminum smelter are summarized in Boguchansky aluminum plant (both located at the site of the Krasnoyarsk railway) and from there loaded with aluminum, be exported via a New port of the Oktyabrskaya railway in the Republic of Kazakhstan", – said Denis Katkov.

In the reporting period, the transit of aluminum and copper in covered wagons of JSC "FGC" from Tajikistan and Kazakhstan in the direction of Novorossiysk port increased by 6 times, up to 4.3 thousand tonnes by July 2018.

Export shipments were primarily from landfills, East Siberian and Krasnoyarsk Railways in the direction of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, North-Western ports. In July 2019, their volume increased by 13 times to last year and amounted to 3.8 thousand tons.
