The goal of the Strategy is the formation of a highly effective, scientifically and innovation-oriented, competitive and attractive investment balanced system of production, processing, storage and marketing of basic grains and legumes, their products, guaranteeing food safety of Russia, which fully meet the domestic demand and create significant export potential.

Introduced by the Ministry of agriculture in pursuance of an order of the President of Russia following the results of meeting on development of agriculture, held on 24 September 2015 in the Rostov region (№PR-2083 October 9, 2015, subparagraph b of paragraph 2).

Signed by order approved a Long-term strategy of development of the grain sector in the Russian Federation until 2035 (hereinafter – the Strategy).

The goal of the Strategy is the formation of a highly effective, scientifically and innovation-oriented, competitive and attractive investment balanced system of production, processing, storage and marketing of basic grains and legumes, their products, guaranteeing food security of the country, which fully meet domestic needs and create significant export potential.

Implementation of the Strategy will improve the efficiency and adaptability of enterprises of the grain complex, to strengthen Russia's position in the world market of grain and products of its processing, will have complex impacts on related industries, including through support of the demand for the products of machine-building enterprises, production of fertilizers and means of plant protection.

We are at the end of 2018 joined the three largest exporters in the world (depending on how and what to consider: for some positions in the first place). We have all the possibilities to continue to increase supplies abroad, of course, without prejudice to the resolution of internal issues to ensure food security.
