Russia has resumed the export of wheat to Madagascar
Russia after a five year hiatus resumed the export of wheat to the Republic of Madagascar, the world's largest state, occupying one island.
Last week South interregional TU Rosselkhoznadzor certified batch of wheat with a mass of 32.5 thousand tons, destined for export to Madagascar, the import of wheat which in the 2019/20 agricultural year is estimated to be 0.2 million tonnes.
It should be noted that this is not the first Russian experience in the supply of grain to the Republic of Madagascar. So in 2016/17 agricultural year, Russia exported to the country of 550 tonnes of peas, and in the 2014/15 agricultural year to 19.7 million MT of wheat.
