Mozambique is ready to consider the possibility of increasing imports of Russian grain crops. This was reported by representatives of the country's delegation at the negotiations with the Rosselkhoznadzor, which took place on August 30.

According to the FCS, which are contained in the message of Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian wheat exports in Mozambique for seven months in 2019 amounted to 91.3 thousand tons, while the total annual volume of wheat imports by the Republic of Mozambique the average is 650 thousand tons.

The specialists from Mozambique conducted an inspection system to ensure quarantine phytosanitary status, quality and safety of grain and products of its processing in Russia. They visited Novorossiysk branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor subordinate fgbi "Center for grain quality assessment", testing laboratory for determining the safety and quality of products of the fgbi "Center for grain quality assessment" (Moscow region), as well as the fgbi "VNIIKR". In addition, the Mozambican specialists got acquainted with the work of Novorossiysk commercial sea port, Novorossiysk grain terminal, Novorossiysk bakery, where we saw the process of loading grain to send it for export, and process sampling to determine the compliance of grain with the desired quality, safety and phytosanitary quarantine state.

As reported by the Rosselkhoznadzor in the course of negotiations the representatives of the delegation from Mozambique has also expressed interest in export to Russia plant products (bananas, mango, avocado, lychee, etc.).
