The largest Indian agro-technical startup enters the Russian market
Swiss international company SatSure agronomic center of research and development in the Indian Bangalore intends to implement large-scale investment project in Russia. It will be aimed at improving the efficiency of agricultural production in the Orel region with the help of innovative technologies. For the project SatSure uses proprietary algorithms based on artificial intelligence and big data.

"The potential volume of the agricultural market in Russia is estimated at 25 billion dollars a year. In the framework of the investment project in the eagle - one of the largest agricultural regions of Russia, SatSure will create a dashboard to monitor the whole sowing area of the region in real time. This will help to take timely action to reduce costs and also a method intended to enlarge and to predict the yield of different crops", - said the adviser to the investment activities of the Governor and of the Chairman of the government of Oryol oblast Artur Voloshin.
 
Additionally, the service SatSure will use big data to increase resilience of agricultural sector to climate change and to help the government in developing insurance products for different crops, and in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of various subsidy programs.
 
"SatSure will be analysed annually approximately 1.5 million hectares, covering cereals and legumes, potato and other commercial crops. The goal of this project is to develop a basis for managing large - scale, precise agriculture in the region and to double the crop yields in the next 10 years", - says Deputy Governor Vadim Tarasov. According to him, the Indian delegation will arrive in Oryol oblast for implementation of the project in mid-September, in General, the pilot project will be completed by the end of 2019.
Orel oblast Governor Andrey Klychkov has set the task of digitalization of the economy of the region in the field of agriculture. "For this purpose the best practices that will be implemented through foreign investment," emphasizes Arthur Voloshin.
A cooperation agreement between the company SatSure and the government of the Orel region was signed within the framework of the Eastern economic forum-2019.
