In our view, there is a serious legal gap in the field of authority control circulation of pesticides on the territory of Russia. The necessary clear legislative framework and strict control over its observance. It is important to understand what pesticides are imported, which are produced inside the country, who and how to apply them", - said the President of the Association "Greenhouses of Russia" Alexey Sitnikov.

He also noted that the Association "greenhouses of Russia" is preparing the necessary amendments to the Federal law "About safe handling of pesticides" in cooperation with the Ministry of agriculture of Russia.

According to Alexei Sitnikov, selling imported vegetable products in Russia at the moment is used in large volumes in nearly all regions of the country. The North Caucasian Federal district is the only district where, according to the collected by the Association "Greenhouses of Russia" statistics for 2018, there were no shortage of local production of greenhouse vegetables.

Alexei Sitnikov also stressed that in the coming years it is expected significant growth of organic production, including in protected ground. This factor will become one of the key to reduce the amount of imported products, and for the growth of export potential of the country.

International forum of experts in the field of agriculture "Agroyug" is held annually from 2015. In 2019 the participants of the forum held on 18 September, more than 400 representatives of government, heads of agricultural holdings, farmers, investors, manufacturers, technology and service providers. Among the speakers of the event were the Governor of Stavropol Krai Vladimir Vladimirov, Deputy Minister of industry of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Ogorodnikov, a member of the Federation Council Committee on agrarian and food policy and environmental management Viktor Novozhilov.
