The decrease of exports was more significant - according to IA "APK-inform" in the first half of 2019, the volume of supply amounted to only 672,3 thousand tons compared to almost 1.1 million tonnes in January-June 2018.

The main reasons for the decline in the export product are increasing competition in this segment, as well as the development of self-processing in some key importing countries, for example Uzbekistan.

Note that in the last 5 years the share of Turkey and Kazakhstan in total accounted for an average 38 per cent of world exports of flour annually.

However, if the share of Kazakhstan remained relatively stable, Turkey has gradually consolidated its position as a key exporter of this product.
