As explained in the Rosselkhoznadzor, Vietnam at the end of the 2018-2019 agricultural year (June 2018 - July 2019) took 11th place in the rating of countries-importers of Russian grain. The Republic supplied 1.2 mln tonnes of wheat.

The official representative of the Rosselkhoznadzor Julia Melano October 17 reportedthat the Rosselkhoznadzor suspends the issuance of certificates for export of wheat to Vietnam. According to her, in the office on the Vietnamese side received an official letter with a request for the temporary suspension of the issuance of phytosanitary certificates to exporters of wheat. Currently, the Rosselkhoznadzor jointly with the Vietnamese experts working on the issues related to the resumption of the issuance of certificates for export.
