According to NSA, the market of agricultural insurance with state support in the Urals Federal district for 9 months of 2019 amounted to 56 million rubles, which is 25% more compared to the same period of 2018 (RUB 19 million). Despite the increase, the agricultural insurance market in this County occupies only a small part of the total agricultural insurance market in Russia – only 2%.

In the organization of selkhozizdat insurance with state support in the Urals Federal district took part in Sverdlovsk, Tyumen and Chelyabinsk region. Joined the system of the Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district and Kurgan oblast.

Crop insurance in the Ural regions in the current year was carried out only in the Sverdlovsk region: the insured 32 thousand hectares of farmland. The amount of accrued insurance premium for insurance of crops and farm animals here amounted to RUR 27 million, of which crop insurance accounted for 24 million rubles. Also here insured 3 thousand head of cattle.

In the Tyumen region livestock insured 1.7 million birds and 15 thousand heads of cattle. In the Chelyabinsk region insurance provided 5 million birds and 31 thousand pigs.

Therefore, the need to protect risks from APK the Ural district is present. NSA stands ready to support these regions in case of need for additional measures for the organization of the insurance system with state support".

According to the Federal law No. 260-F3 "On state support in agricultural insurance", in Russia in the framework of a centralized system the government provides support to risk insurance of crop, livestock and commercial aquaculture. From 1 January 2016 at the market of agricultural insurance with state support is a single national Association, the national Union of agricultural insurers.

In 2018, the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." №260-FZ changes were made, the purpose of which were the flexibility and the diversity of conditions present. The law came into force on 1 March 2019.
