The increase of production capacity of amelita will be possible thanks to the gradual build-up of production of nitric acid – the raw material for its production. This year, at "Akron" in Veliky Novgorod was launched two new unit of nitric acid with a capacity of 135 thousand tons each. At the end of the year is expected to launch another unit under construction at the moment.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Akron" Alexander Popov said: "the launch of three new aggregates of nitric acid on the Novgorod site will allow you to use it effectively in the further process chain and smoothly to increase production of processed products, including commercial ammonium nitrate, UAN and fertilizer mixtures".
The project implementation will allow to increase to 900 thousand tons per year the production of granulated amelita, to increase to 1.7 million tons per year production of urea-ammonium nitrate and stably produce mixed fertilizers in the amount of 600 thousand tons per year.
In the course of the project will be modernized technological, dynamic equipment, continuous handling systems and the introduction of distributed control system in the Department of packaging and processing plant amelita. It is also planned reconstruction of two granasen with the replacement of exhaust fans and building more powerful stations.
The final implementation date of the project by the end of 2020.
PJSC "Akron" in Veliky Novgorod produces ammonium nitrate at two units, commissioned in 1976 – 1978 Total design capacity of 900 thousand tons of fertilizers per year.
