The plan is for a two-year period from 2020 to 2021, for which the region should be the development of insurance systems.

"The aim of the project – a joint effort to manage risks of plant in the KCR – says the document signed by the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov. Since moving to a unified system of agricultural insurance in 2016 insurance contracts selkhozizdat in the region practically was not – neither with state nor without it. However, the need for the implementation of the insurance mechanisms is obvious: the risks of drought and hail pose a significant problem for farmers of the Republic, and the regional budget".

At the initial stage of implementation of the Plan, the Ministry of agriculture of the KCR will determine the list of strategically important crops of the Republic. Then the Ministry will prepare the information necessary for the development of crop insurance agricultural crops in 2020, including a list of intended for insurance crops, sowing area planned, and other information. NSA will analyze the meteorological situation in the Republic using data of remote monitoring and in conjunction with the Ministry of agriculture will develop versions of the terms of insurance in this region with the insurance companies-members of the NSA.

Active engagement of NSA and the Ministry of agriculture, KCR began in 2019 to 13 September in the capital of the Republic – the city of Cherkessk NSA held a training seminar, the purpose of which is to inform farmers on the status and capabilities of the system of agricultural insurance with state support, the use of an instrument space monitoring crop insurance, as well as familiarization with the changes of the legislation in this area. On 10 October in the framework of the Russian agricultural exhibition "Golden autumn", the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov and the Minister of agriculture of Karachay-Cherkessia Anzor Botashev has signed a cooperation agreement in the field of agricultural insurance.

"In the spring of NSA plans to conduct another seminar-workshop on agricultural insurance in the Republic, which will be summed up the intermediate results of the joint work of NSA and local agriculture, and farmers will be able to get advice and support on all matters of mutual interest", – said the President of the Union of the Roots of biggov.

According to the Federal law No. 260-F3 "On state support in agricultural insurance", in Russia in the framework of a centralized system the government provides support to risk insurance of crop, livestock and commercial aquaculture. From 1 January 2016 at the market of agricultural insurance with state support is a single national Association, the national Union of agricultural insurers.

In 2018, the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." №260-FZ changes were made, the purpose of which were the flexibility and the diversity of conditions present. The law came into force on 1 March 2019.
