"In accordance with the agreement, the NSA and the Department of agriculture of the Tyumen region will choose the format of intensive cooperation, which should contribute to the creation of a comprehensive system of agricultural insurance, – says the President of the NRA of the Roots of biggov. The Tyumen farmers actively insured of farm animals, this region was included in TOP-10 Russian regions in 2019, however, the crop insurance agriculture wary since, as in this area they had a negative experience in 2007-2008. Insurance of crop production in the conditions of state support over the past 4 years here have not been conducted. At the moment the area is not ready to take on the extended commitment, but the start of the insurance of crops will be this year on".

6 Feb NSA in conjunction with the Department of agriculture held in Tyumen the seminar on "agricultural Insurance as a tool to ensure the financial sustainability of farmers", in which took part the agribusiness management bodies in all areas of the Tyumen region and about 200 farmers (including via videoconference). Among the participants there were representatives of the insurance market Department of the Bank of Russia (Sergey Babich), the JSC "Alfa insurance", IC "Rosgosstrakh" JSC IC "Rosselkhozbank-Insurance," and OO RSO Evroins" companies-members of the NSA.

In 2019 economy of the region insured 212 thousand heads of farm animals, which is 10% higher than the equivalent figure for 2018 – 193 th. goals. On the conditions of state support in the Tyumen region was insured for 7.5 million birds, 144 thousand pigs and 19 million heads of cattle, which provided the region championship among other regions of the Ural Federal district and entering into first ten regions of Russia on number of the insured livestock.

According to the NSA on January 1, 2020, in the period of validity of the Federal law on state support of agriculture (No. 260-FZ) from 2012 to 2019, the farmers of Tyumen region under insurance contracts selkhozizdat was paid 19 million rubles of insurance payments.

According to the Federal law No. 260-F3 "On state support in agricultural insurance", in Russia in the framework of a centralized system the government provides support to risk insurance of crop, livestock and commercial aquaculture. From 1 January 2016 at the market of agricultural insurance with state support is a single national Association, the national Union of agricultural insurers.

In 2018, the Law "On state support in agricultural insurance..." №260-FZ changes were made, the purpose of which were the flexibility and the diversity of conditions present. The law came into force on 1 March 2019.
