The condition of winter crops in Russia at the end of March was best in the last 20 years
The forecast for vegetation of winter crops in Russia is positive: only 4% of the crop areas are in poor condition, this figure is the best over the last two decades, said the scientific Director of the hydrometeorological center of Russia Roman Vilfand.

"Now, if we talk about yields of winter crops only, it is a comfortable environment, good conditions. There is a normal development of winter crops. I even will tell more: in comparison with the typical values when average about 8 percent of the cultivated area is in poor condition, is now only 4 percent. This is the minimum value over the past 20 years," - said Vilfand at a press conference on Monday.
Based on these values, the meteorologist opined that the harvest of winter crops in Russia is expected to be "good".
