The increase in the release of Russian agricultural machinery is observed at many key positions. The largest increase in quantitative terms, in particular, are recorded in the segment of combine harvesters by 48% to 1.69 thousand units, balers – 31% to 471 units, seeders by 20% to 1.72 thousand units, mowers by 16% to 688 units, four-wheel drive tractors to 15% to 597 units, sprayers – 10% to 228 units.

A survey of the Association of dealers of agricultural machinery "the CONSUMPTION" has shown that in 2020 the expected decline in sales of foreign agricultural machinery in Russia. Among the most urgent challenges of the pandemic coronavirus and the devaluation of the ruble, dealers noted difficulties with the supply of equipment or parts due to a failure of supply chains (71% of respondents), increase in terms of deliveries of equipment or spare parts (69 %), as well as the growth of the cost of equipment (54 %) and spare parts (49 %).

The annual growth of Russian-made agricultural equipment, beginning in 2013, due to the constant improvement of the quality of the machines, their cost effectiveness, maximum adaptability to work in different weather conditions. An important factor for the development of the industry was the launch and implementation of effective mechanisms of state support developed by the government of Russia.

The Association "Rosspetsmash" associated positive dynamics in the conditions of pandemic with high level of localization of the domestic agricultural machinery. With the result that Russian producers were much less dependent on foreign parts than a foreign production, including Assembly. In addition, the plants continue to sell its products with discounts, despite the fact that changes in the Government Regulation No. 1432 has not been approved.

However, by the end of the year, the industry could face reduced production due to adverse economic situation in the country, which will lead to a significant reduction in effective demand.

The downward trend in growth rates in the industry already occurring in January 2020, the growth of production of agricultural machinery amounted to 63% in March to 23%.

To mitigate the impact of the crisis and to prevent the reduction of the production of Russian agricultural machinery should promptly approve the changes to the Program No. 1432 - a key industry measure of state support. Government decision No. 1432 along with preferential leasing will allow you to maintain the demand for agricultural machinery on the domestic market in terms of reducing the income of farmers. It is also necessary from 2020 to resume the implementation of Decree No. 1269 to support export supply equipment.
