SIAL PARIS 2020 x Make.org started a big consultation to discuss how to relate the solution of environmental problems and global power

Health, transparency, environmental responsibility, fair prices - pandemic highlighted the important issues that affect our industry. The need to change and reinvent themselves has never been so important. This approach aims to mobilize industry specialists around the world to develop a healthy, balanced, responsible, fair and accessible for a wide circle of people power.

Exhibition SIAL Paris 2020 initiates the debate around the extensive and unifying themes:

#OwnTheChange.

In an era of change, rethinking and global social responsibility SIAL wants to unite the professionals of the food industry around the world around the major changes occurring in the industry. We still need to be there, but the changes will be huge. By 2030 the world population will increase from 7.6 to 8.6 billion people (report of the United Nations, 2017).

This huge increase is a big problem for the food industry. The belief that there is enough food, obviously, is ahead of innovation, but there is a new paradigm to consider: produce more with less pollution, to explore new sources of food supply to become more transparent...

New approaches should be initiated or strengthened with attention to people and the environment. This is why SIAL Paris food encourages the community to take the reins of change and to present solutions of tomorrow.

“Our attitude to food is changing and we have to make a new choice. We urgently need to rethink our relationship with agriculture and the processing and distribution of products to offer consumers a meaningful experience. At SIAL we believe that business performance is meaningful only if it improves health, the environment and society as a whole. Our role is in understanding, analysing and stimulating changes, providing our exhibitors and visitors, the first stakeholders are the keys to creating solutions for the future.

SIAL takes commitment. We are one of the founders of this important initiative "to Promote better nutrition" together with Make.org and his partners. The goal is to create a strong and international response best suggestions to create a development path through our consultations with the world food industry and collectively implement ideas.
