Spring sowing is carried out on an area of 36.1 million hectares, or 69.5% of projected area (in 2019 to 34 million hectares).

Including in the southern Federal district spring sowing carried out on an area of 4.4 million hectares or 77,4% of the forecast in the North Caucasus Federal district – 1.7 million ha or 90.2% of the forecast, in the Central Federal district – 7.9 million hectares, or 83.4% of the forecast, in the Volga Federal district – 11.8 million ha or 75,7% of the forecast, in the Siberian Federal district – 7.1 million hectares or 58.3% of the forecast, in the Urals Federal district – about 2.3 million hectares, or 53.9 per cent of the forecast, in the North-Western Federal district – 232,5 thousand ha or 50.4 per cent of the forecast in the far Eastern Federal district – 672,6 thousand hectares or 28.4% of the forecast.

Spring grain crops in the whole country was sown on the area of 21.4 million hectares or 73.5% of the projected area (in 2019 19.1 million ha).

Of these, spring wheat was sown on an area of 8.5 million hectares, 69.8% of the forecasted area (2019 – 6.3 million hectares), spring barley – 6.4 million ha or 81.7 per cent of the forecast area (2019 – 6.3 million ha), maize grain – 2.5 mln ha, or 92.4% of the forecasted area (2019 2.2 million ha), rice – of 152.6 thousand ha, or 77,3% of the forecast area.

Sugar beet (factory) were sown 911,9 thousand ha or 96.5% of the forecast area.

Flax planted on an area of 22.7 thousand ha, or 46.6% of the forecast area.

Sunflower planted on an area of 6.6 million hectares, or 81.2% of the forecasted area (2019 – 6.3 million hectares).

Spring rape was sown 915,4 thousand ha or 70.8 per cent of the forecast area.

Soybeans planted on an area of 1.5 million hectares or 46% of the forecast area.

Potatoes in the agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) planted on the area of 181,3 thousand hectares or 58.7% of the forecast area.

Vegetables in agricultural enterprises and peasant (farm) planted on an area of 115.5 thousand hectares or 62.3% of the forecasted area (in 2019 – of 110.1 thousand ha).
