One of the key environmental projects of PJSC "KuibyshevAzot" – sewage treatment plants storm drains of the Northern industrial hub and part of Central district of Togliatti. The facility is being built at the expense of own funds and included in the Federal programme "Improvement of the Volga" in the national project "Ecology". It is planned to complete in 2021 – 2022.
Investments amount to 1.1 billion rubles.

Thus, in the framework of the program on increase of production of mineral fertilizers and reduce the impact on the environment implemented the project of modern production of diluted nitric acid with a capacity of 130 thousand tons per year (UKL-2) and the continued construction of high-performance tower granulation of ammonium nitrate instead of two existing.
In addition, in 2019 the production of nitric acid was introduced the system of double irrigation to the absorption columns to reduce air emissions, reduce emissions from storage of nitric acid and optimization of parameters of flow of ammonia for catalytic cleaning. In the production of urea was provided uninterrupted operation of the node of the acid catcher.
Over the past 10 years with the growth of commodity output in 2.4 times, consumption of electricity and water per tonne of production reduced by 1.9 times, heat – 1.7 times reduced specific emissions 2 times, water – in 1,2 times reduced by 15% of expenses on gas and benzene. In 2019 compared to 2018 with growth of volumes of commodity products by 1.6%, the emissions decreased by 10% and amounted to 35% of permitted generation of waste decreased in 2.3 times, consumption of river water by 4.6%.
The company continues to work on the use of waste as secondary resources, implemented a program to transfer motor transport of the enterprise on fuel.
In 2019 PJSC "KuibyshevAzot" took part in the funding of a mobile environmental laboratory and research of atmospheric air in Togliatti. It is important that "KuibyshevAzot" one-time paid its contribution to the shortage of funds, the city was able to make a down payment on the purchase of lab.
Today, the asset of "KuibyshevAzot" is 37 hectares of planted forests, for which there is an annual care. In 2020 it is planned to plant another 4 hectares.
