Kurgan oblast is located on the fourth place in the ranking of Russian regions by the index of production output of agriculture in January-September compared to the corresponding period last year.

Agricultural producers have harvested about 2 million tons of grain. And this despite the difficult weather conditions at the end of the season. Among the leaders – Schuchanskiy and Shadrinsk districts, the result of over 25 quintals per hectare. In the region managed to increase the yield of grain and grain-legumes for one quintal over the previous year. In 2016, farmers improved the seed quality of certified recognized 75% of the volume inspected before spring planting.

The head of the Urals Alexey Kokorin said that this year in areas treated with an additional 50 thousand hectares of undeveloped land. Therefore, in the opinion of the Governor, farmers need to continue to plow the earth to create new jobs in rural areas and to produce quality products.

In 2016, the grants received 26 beginning farmers and 4 family livestock farm. They are listed, respectively, 36.6 and 30.5 million rubles of budgetary funds.
