FAO's forecast of world grain production increased
According to forecasts of the FAO, world production of grains in the 2016/17 MG will increase by 15 million tons

The updated forecast says that grain production in the world will grow by 0.6%, or 15 million tons, to 2.59 billion tonnes. Including wheat production is expected to reach 758,1 million tons of coarse grain of 1.33 billion tonnes, rice – 496,2 million tons.
The upward adjustment is associated with high expectations on the part of the harvest of grain crops in Russia and Australia, and increasing forecasts for corn harvest in the world, particularly in China.
