Consumption of grain for fodder purposes, according to FAO, amount to 927 million tons, indicating a decrease in the General level of consumption of grain in the world. Adjustment relates to expectations for the production of grain in the United States and the CIS countries.

Forecast industrial consumption of grain in 2017/18 MG will slow due to lower ethanol production in the world.
