However, the projected rate would exceed the level of the similar period last season by 0.3 million tons (+12% per year).

In particular, Ukraine, according to preliminary data, in April-September increased exports to 1.81 (1,67) million tons, Russia – 0,57 (0,4) million tons. Shipments from Argentina will remain at the level of last season – 0.45 million tonnes.

Thus analysts specify that the export of sunflower meal from Russia in the period under review may be lower than projected due to high domestic demand by the manufacturers of feed for animals, ready to offer products for a high enough price. This trend, in turn, is a consequence of the reduced imports of sunflower oil in the current season due to restrictions on import of GM products.
