One of the reasons of failure of the harvest in the Sverdlovsk region was the lack of agricultural machinery in the region. About this UrBC said the Director of agriculture "Galkinskoe" Vasily Melnichenko.

According to him, the current difficulties could have been avoided if the management of the region attended to solve problems with technology a few years ago.

"To conduct harvesting, and sowing was affected by shortage of equipment. Farmers can be sown late, not treated in time and as a result, the harvest of late. Since equipment is not enough, and it is obsolete, load the combines strong. But no one wanted them to be new. By and large, the regional authorities concerned by extraneous tasks rather than the development of agriculture", — said Fedor Melnichenko.

As noted by the farmer, to count on the help in the technique from neighboring regions Sverdlovsk farmers also do not have, and because there are difficulties with harvesting. This practice is carried out mainly in the southern regions of the country.

Assessment F. Melnichenko, Sverdlovsk farmers need up to 10 days without rainfall this month to save the crop. The greatest fears of the farmer calls the preservation of crops.

We will note, last week the Minister of agriculture and food of the Sverdlovsk region Mikhail Kopytov recognized that farmers will not be able to save part of the harvest. However, the Minister was accused of a failed harvest adverse weather conditions.

However, in the end of last year the Minister admitted that the share of outdated combine harvester in the field is 25%. This year, the Park could only upgrade to 1.5-2%.
