Greenhouse complex worth 2.2 billion rubles will be built in Tyumen region. It will produce more than 12 thousand tons of vegetables a year, said on Monday TASS in the regional Department of investment policy and support of entrepreneurship.

"The construction of the plant takes place in the framework of import substitution. It must be completed in the fourth quarter of this year", - said in the Department.

Greenhouses will be built on the funds of the private investor - LLC "TC Tyumen agro". Construction of the plant will create 183 new jobs. The new complex is planned to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, different kinds of salads, bell peppers, eggplant.

"Also be considered for growing other vegetables, but it will all depend on the trends of the market and demand", - noted in Department.

The Department found it difficult to give accurate figures, as far as the Tyumen region provides itself with vegetables, but noted that most of these products in the region is imported. For growing vegetables in the climatic conditions of Western Siberia will be used "modern technology", which the investor said.
