In the Volgograd region farmers mowed more than 237 thousand ha of sowed and natural grass, according to the press service of the regional administration. This year because of drought removed more than 277 thousand tons of hay, slightly less than last year.

According to the provincial agriculture Committee, for the successful wintering of cattle in the region have enough stocks of food. Most hay harvested in Pallasovsky, Lenin, Bykovskii, Kumylzhenskaya, Serafimovich and Olkhovsky areas. Feed all animals have the desired nutritional qualities.
