In Sakhalin to mark the high potato yield greater than the index of 2014. According to preliminary calculations, the economy of the island region this year will receive 94.4 thousand tons of potatoes, amounting to 101.2% of the previous year.

In the Ministry of agriculture, trade and food of the region noted that from fields already harvested 924 hectares or 45.7% of all plantings of potatoes. Mechanized farms have removed 85% of tubers.

Head of Department of crop production, Deputy Director of the Department of agriculture of the agricultural Department of the region said:

"The tubers in storage is laid in good form. Dry, injured, with no signs of disease. Such potatoes, when creating the optimal storage parameters will be stored with minimal losses".

In open company "the spark" has collected 280 centner/hectares, in SPK "Sokolovsky" – 210, in the state farm "Hothouse" – 200.
