The Tyumen region has collected about 1.5 million tonnes of grain. That it can ensure its own food security, said at todayís press-conference the Director of the regional Department of agro-industrial complex Vladimir Chemetov.

The regional demand for grain now is 1060 thousand tons Of which 60 % will be spent on feed, 9 on food, the part remains on the seeds. About 325 thousand tons is planned to be implemented outside of the Tyumen region.

Excess harvest of potatoes and vegetables will be allocated in the Khanty-Mansi and Yamal-Nenets Autonomous district. Tyumen potato will be found in five Federal districts of Russia.
