The growth of agricultural production in all major indicators is expected this year in the Lipetsk region, the volume of production will increase, estimated at 8% and will amount to 106 billion rubles, said Vice-Governor of the region Nikolai Tagintsev at a briefing on Tuesday.

According to him, the gross grain harvest, with the corn, will be not less than 2,6 million tons that corresponds to level of last year. Beet harvest - more than 4.1 million tons - "the highest in the history of the region".

Agro-industrial complex of the region is characterized by positive dynamics of investments, which reached this year 17,5 billion roubles.
