In the framework of the project of creation of territories of advanced development (TOR) "South" on the South of Sakhalin it is planned to implement 15 projects with a total value of almost 21 billion rubles.

Of this amount, 3.6 billion rubles will be public investment, the press service of the government of the Sakhalin region.

THOR "South" will include the land plots on the territory of Anivsky, Korsakovsky and Tomari districts and Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk.

"There will be implemented projects aimed at the development of agriculture, accelerated import substitution, strengthening food security of Sakhalin region", - said the press service.

According to her, today in the region is delivered to 75% of the food. The regional authorities have developed a programme, under which by 2020 is planned to reach the level of self-sufficiency in milk production to 58%, for poultry meat - up to 66%, pork up to 100%, greenhouse vegetables - up to 81%.

"Is the achievement of these results directed the project THOR "South": it is assumed the creation of large cattle-breeding complexes, the boiler production, the development of greenhouse vegetable production", - stated in the message.

In General, according to the press service, the implementation of these investment projects will allow by 2018 to double the gross production output of agriculture.
