Russian buckwheat in the next year or two may be among the export of grain commodities, according to the Ministry of agriculture.

"In a year or two buckwheat should become a normal export product", - said the first Deputy Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Evgeny Gromyko reporters on the sidelines of the international agricultural exhibition "Yug-agro" in Krasnodar on Tuesday.

According to him, in net weight, the production of buckwheat in Russia this year has exceeded 600 thousand tons. As previously reported, the demand in the Russian Federation buckwheat is 500 thousand tons per year. According to the agriculture Ministry on 23 November, buckwheat threshed with 99.3% of the harvested area. Its yield this year is 9.7 t/ha, 0.4 t/ha lower than last year. At the same time in the Volga and Central Federal districts above last year's yield of 1.9 t/ha and is 10.9 and 14.7 kg/ha respectively. E. Gromyko also said that this year's initial forecasts grain harvest exceeded more than 5 mln tons. So, corn has already collected 1 million tons more than predicted, its yield amounted to 51 tons per ha.

"This is a record figure", - he noted. The collection of soybeans amounted to 2.85 million tons in the forecast 2,62 million tons.

"Thus, we have significantly increased our balanceuticals on protein raw materials", - said the first Deputy Minister.

According to the forecast of the Ministry of agriculture, the gross grain harvest in Russia this year in clean weight will total 102-102,1 million tons compared to 105.3 million tonnes last year. The initial forecast was about 100 million tons. According to Gromyko, the Ministry of agriculture still takes the position that the collection in Russia, 130 million tons of cereal is not the limit.
