Kazakhstan and the Altai territory are cooperating in the field of livestock breeding development. Work on bilateral cooperation was initiated after the XII forum of interregional cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia in September 2015 in Sochi.

The Kirov collective farm of the German national district was procured in the LLP "Nursemare" North Kazakhstan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan the cattle breeding. In turn, the company in Kazakhstan acquired in the Altai region 52 head of cattle of red steppe breed.

In the framework of cooperation of regions of Kazakhstan plans to buy in the Altai region 70 heads of breeding cattle to the end of 2016.
