Sale Hershey's company in the fourth quarter decreased by 5% to $1.91 billion amid a 27% decrease in international income.

Sales in North America rose 0.2% to $1.63 billion after the company brought to market new and changed products in the holiday period.

U.S. sales in the previous quarter has not justified expectations of analysts.

Quarterly earnings increased to 91 cents per share to 98 cents per share for the year, a sharp change compared to the 31% drop in profits in the last quarter.

Hershey has experienced problems in the Chinese market, where revenue fell by 34%, because Chinese consumers tend to eat less chocolate than consumers in North America and Europe. In 2014, purchased the Hershey candy company Shanghai Golden Monkey, but has been criticized due to problems with distribution and receiving payments.

Hershey continues to innovate, which may be a contributing factor to improving sales. The company introduced Hershey's Kisses Deluxe, which expanded the presence of Hershey in a fast-growing category of premium chocolate. At the end of last year debuted bars of milk chocolate Hershey Kisses and candy without artificial additives.

Holiday Kisses were the first Hershey's product that has the label from the Association of manufacturers of grocery products SmartLabel with a QR code that allows consumers to find out more information about the product.

As transparency becomes an increasingly important factor for consumers, more manufacturers will use this type of marking.

Chocolate is on the list of five main products that bring consumers fun, but Hershey also makes its way into other market segments. Last year the company acquired a manufacturer of Krave jerky.
