The signing of the Protocol on sanitary requirements for meat of bovine animals, which will be delivered from Russia to Iran, could happen next week, told RIA Novosti in the Rosselkhoznadzor.

"It is planned that the final approval and signing of the Protocol on sanitary requirements for import of meat of cattle will take place during the first meeting of the working group on veterinary and phytosanitary issues, which will be held from 29 February to 1 March 2016 in Tehran", - said in the service.

"If the signing goes through, the Russian beef producers will be able to start the export to Iran of meat of cattle from all the companies that meet the requirements of the Protocol and the previously approved veterinary certificate", - added in Department. The Rosselkhoznadzor expects that the draft Protocol on the requirements for the supply of poultry meat will be provided by the Iranian side in the near future.

In the beginning of 2016, the Iranian veterinary organization (IVO) completed work on the study of the Russian system of control, which is used in the production of beef and poultry. The analysis took place the visit of two experts IVO in Russia.

"IVO has approved the exports of abovementioned products from Russia to Iran, but first supplies put requirements on the harmonization of the protocols, which reflected the sanitary import requirements of poultry meat and boneless cattle meat", is reminiscent of the Rosselkhoznadzor.

In the middle of February the Russian service has received for consideration a draft of the Protocol for bovine meat. After analysis of the project the Russian side has prepared its proposals and comments to it.
