The production of raw milk according to preliminary results of the year 2015 in all categories of farms amounted to 30 781 thousand tonnes of milk in 2014 over the same period has produced 30 thousand tons. 791 it is stated in the report of the Analytical center Soyuzmoloko and Milknews.

In agricultural organizations 713,3 produced 14 thousand tons of raw milk (or 47.8% of the total), peasant (farm) holdings and farms of individual entrepreneurs – 2 034,7 kt (6.6 percent), in households – 033,1 14 kt (45,6%). The increase in production in the agricultural organizations and peasant (farm) 2.9% has been offset by reduced production in households by 3.3%, resulting in total production remained almost at the level of 2014.

In January – February 2016 in farms of all categories produced 3.9 million tons of raw milk, which is 1.6% (64 thousand tons) more than in the same period of 2015. In January – February 2015 similar to the growth of production amounted to 1,0%. The increase in gross milk production contributes to increased production in the agricultural enterprises due to the intensification with declining volumes in households.

In agricultural organizations in January – February of 2016, according to preliminary data of Rosstat, milk production increased by 4.3% (96.3 thousand tons), up to 2 321,0 thousand tons, including in February – by 6.1% (66.6 thousand tons), up 1 150,9 thousand tons.

The largest volumes of raw milk production have traditionally provided the subjects of the Volga Federal district (31% of Russia's output in 2015), including the Republic of Bashkortostan (6%), Republic of Tatarstan (6%), Orenburg oblast (3%), the Udmurt Republic (2%). On the second place on volumes of production – the Central Federal district (17%), the third Siberian Federal district (17%).
