Nurseries producing seedlings of grapes, can not cope with the demands of the farmers. Thus, the state program of the Krasnodar territory in the period from 2016 to 2021 is planned to vineyards in an area of 13 thousand hectares, which is necessary to annually produce up to 5 thousand pieces of saplings.

The current state of the nursery and the actual production of planting material can meet the requirements of farms in the region not more than 30%. This was during the 50th session of the legislative Assembly of Kuban has informed the acting Minister of agriculture of the region Sergey Orlenko.

"According to preliminary estimates, nursery farms of the Kuban it is necessary for these purposes 366 million rubles, including in 2016 – 105 million rubles, 2017 – 110 million rubles, 2018 – 86 million, etc. To solve the problem of shortage of planting material and to reduce the dependence of the industry from procurement of imported raw materials we are working on the issue of subsidies, providing for a 50% repayment of the actual costs to agricultural producers", – said Orlenko.

The total area of vineyards in the Kuban region at the beginning of 2016 amounted to about 26 thousand hectares. Specialized companies produce more than 95% of the grapes.

"Over the past 5 years the viticulture industry has been allocated state support in the amount of 910 million rubles, 285 – from the regional budget. In 2016, it will 385,5 million roubles, which is 65% out of last year", – said Orlenko.

He added that for the implementation of further measures for the development of horticulture and viticulture, you must have available vinogradnyh lands. The results of the study, in 2015 identified 11 thousand hectares of such lands.

"Therefore, our main task in the first place, to improve the current situation at the nursery and produce annually at least 5 million pieces of seedlings, the second – together with the municipalities to improve the situation for the establishment of the modern land – not less than 1,2 thousand of land a year," – concluded acting Minister.
