The Ministry of agriculture is not going to abolish the export duty on grain. This was in the context of the Collegium of the Ministry of agriculture said the head of Department Alexander Tkachev, the correspondent "Газеты.Ru".

According to the Minister, the market situation has not yet stabilized and the Russian economy is in crisis, so the conditions for lifting duties yet.

"The duty of restraining the growth of prices for grain. It is still needed, so this tool will be in the hands of the state", — said the Minister.

"The market has almost calmed down, and fee, almost no effect, therefore the situation itself will disappear, of course, if we feel, stress — feel that it is harmful and detrimental to agricultural producers, then of course we come to these decisions, cancel it, but on the other hand, if we see that market is still not balanced that the macroeconomic situation — the crisis is still ongoing, can be all kinds of moments in this part, it is better to have it", — Tkachev quoting RIA Novosti.

According to the newspaper, Russia to stabilize the situation on the domestic grain market from 1 February 2015 introduced export duty on wheat. Her formula was changed several times. The current fee is valid from 1 October last year and is 50% of the customs value minus 6,5 thousand rubles per ton, but not less than 10 rubles per ton.

In early 2016, Deputy Minister of agriculture Sergey Levin said that Russia's agriculture Ministry will urge the government to reconsider or cancel the export duty on grain.
