Lipetsk oblast is going in 20 times to increase the production of vegetables in greenhouses. This will be possible thanks to the implementation of the project on import substitution. It will allow to reach a production of 180 thousand tons of cucumbers and tomatoes a year.

The area is becoming one of the largest regions-manufacturers of vegetables. The report is from the start of construction of the greenhouse complex in the Dankov district. Now they already started the 3 phase of the project and, according to forecasts, this year will produce 12 thousand tons of tomatoes and 20 thousand tons of cucumbers. Now under construction 4-line greenhouses, it will work in October this year.

And in Yelets district started construction of greenhouse complex of the fifth generation will produce at least 40 thousand tons of vegetables a year. By the middle of next year in Usmansky district plans to launch its first greenhouse project. There will grow 54 thousand tons of vegetables a year.
