Global warming will lead to a sharp drop in corn crop, writes specialized climatological publication of UK Nature Climate Change.

According to calculations of scientists, in 2018, the yield of maize in some parts of the world will decline dramatically, and by 2030, modern varieties of corn will not be able to grow normally in the vast majority of African countries. And after 15 years, by 2030, this could cause food crisis.

As told the Vice-President of the Russian grain Union Alexander Korbut, due to global warming may endanger the yields of not only corn, but all the major crops.

"At risk yield of fruits and vegetables of all kinds, as well as cereal crops, for example sorghum, rice. Then will not feed, therefore, may occur and the problem with farming" - shares his fears A. Korbut.

Experts say that the solution lies in the new varieties of agricultural crops, however, this process can take a prohibitively long time.
