In the Ulyanovsk region plans to build 10 new dairy farm complexes for 1 200 cows each. About it reports a press-service of the regional government following the discussion, the acting Governor Sergey Morozova with the farmers of the region, development prospects of the industry.

"We set a goal to achieve over the next five years milk production in the amount of 290 thousand tons as a minimum to ensure the needs of area residents milk of its own production, — said Morozov. — Gross milk production in all categories of farms in the second half of the year exceeded last year by almost 1.8 thousand tons, the number of cattle increased by 2,3 thousand heads of dairy cattle on 640 heads.

Today, the region is implementing a program on support of dairy farming, in which in 2016 from the budget of the Ulyanovsk region it is allocated about 100 million rubles. According to the Minister of agriculture, forestry and natural resources of the region Alexander Capuchina, this year the program has enabled a number of leading agricultural enterprises to carry out reconstruction and modernisation of livestock farms, as well as purchase a highly productive livestock, including imported.

In particular, in Cherdaklinsky area on the basis of the peasant (farmer) economy "the Renaissance" built a cattle-breeding complex for 1,200 dairy cows, which includes two cowsheds and a milking parlour, carousel.

The investment cost of the project amounted to 150 million rubles, including the purchase of pedigree Holstein heifers. After reaching the estimated capacity the volume of milk production will be about 12 thousand tons per year. Also this year plan to complete the reconstruction of livestock buildings and modernization of production capacities in the agricultural Tetyushskiy" of the Ulyanovsk region. In addition, the technical modernization of dairy farming started, OOO khmelevskoe and SPK of a name of N. K. Krupskaya (Melekessky district), agro-Neptun (Park area), SPK "the Red Star" and SPK "the Victory" (Radischev district), SPK imeni guy and "Mordovo" (Sengileevsky district). Taking into account the implementation of these projects by the end of this year in the region expect an increase in milk production compared to the previous year by 5% (5.4 thousand tonnes).
