Farmers in Primorye for three years, and 1.6 times increased milk production including due to the increase in the number of dairy herds, and implementation of major investment projects, according to the administration of Primorye.

"Farms for the last three years increased milk production by 1.6 times - to 20.2 thousand tons", - quotes the administration to the Director of the regional Department of agriculture and food, Denis Bochkarev.

It is noted that the production growth is attributable to the increase in the number of dairy cows in farms of all categories up to 33 thousand heads. Such indicators managed to achieve including at the expense of implementation of major investment projects and development of small farms.

In particular, the company Greengro implements in the region the investment project on construction of three livestock farms by 5.4 thousand cows. Already put into operation a complex of 1.8 thousand heads, the construction of the second complex another 1.8 thousand heads. When the plant runs at full capacity, milk production will be 36 million liters in the year 2015, the company produced more than 11,5 thousand liters of milk.
