More than half of Russians (53 percent) are confident in the quality of fresh vegetables, fruits, herbs, fish and meat sold in the markets. More and more consumers no longer trust the chain stores and shift focus to "small" retail formats.

About 69% of Russian respondents believe that the markets offer a wider choice of fresh products. And every second I am sure that the prices are lower than in stores.

Leaders purchases over the past three months in Russia were fresh fruits and vegetables (be sure to buy 91 percent and 90 percent of consumers), followed by fresh greens - 70 percent chilled poultry 66%, pork or beef (56 percent).

Among fresh vegetables top-selling - cucumbers (92 per cent) and tomatoes (91 percent), and potatoes and onions (79 percent).

Seasonal fruit, the greatest demand for apples (81%), bananas (78 percent), lemons (56 per cent), apricots (49%). Seasonal berries acquired 50 percent of Russians, of whom 81 per cent - cherry, 80 percent strawberry or strawberry and only 26 percent of raspberries.

However, on fresh seasonal products, the Russians began to save. The reason is not new - the rise in prices. Every third Russian (33 percent) bought this year, less fresh vegetables than in the past. About 57 percent have not changed the volume of purchases, 16 percent admitted that they buy less fresh vegetables or even refused them, because they are grown alone in the garden. The quality is not satisfied, 15 percent of consumers surveyed reduced purchase of fresh fruit.
