The authorities of Kamchatka is asking the Federal center to grant benefits fishing and processing companies that implement their products for state and municipal needs, said the press service of the regional government.

Such a proposal at the meeting of the working group on development of fish branch in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk was voiced by the Governor of the region Vladimir Ilyukhin.

"Our fishermen today are unable to provide competitive conditions for participation in public procurement. Retailers interrupt tenders for the supply of cheap foreign fish. Social enterprises delivered products, often inferior to the quality of domestic – for example, import pangasius and tilapia, are grown in artificial conditions, on artificial feeds, with the use of growth stimulants. The only important price, quality is not considered", — quotes the press service quoted the head of the region.

According to the auction documentation, such products are much cheaper than domestic, for example, Pollock, processed into fresh at sea and taken to the Russian coast. Although Russian fishermen repeatedly stated its readiness to supply products produced in the fishing areas for kindergartens, schools, hospitals, army.

"The solution to this problem at the Federal level in the first place, will help to expand the industry in the domestic market, to supply higher quality of domestic food, a stable market fishermen, which means employment in the regions, the growth of tax revenues in budgets, the development of production in the far East", — said Ilyukhin.

It is also reported that the working group participants discussed the problems of delivery of far Eastern fish to Central Russia, including the upgrading of rolling stock, the cost of delivery, creation of additional refrigeration capacity.
