One kilogram of buckwheat in local stores can be purchased on average for 66 rubles. According to experts, the cause of the cheapening of the product was a record crop, harvested this year in the region.

According Anticristo maximum retail price of buckwheat in the region was recorded in September of this year. Then they exceeded 80 rubles per kilogram. But in October, when it became clear that the harvest of buckwheat in the region is expected to great, prices actively went down. As of October 10, in the shops they fell to 76.1 ruble, and by the beginning of November to 66.3 ruble.

In the current year, the Altai agricultural producers received a record harvest of buckwheat – about 550 thousand tons, 34.1% more than in 2015, when the region collected 410 thousand tons, and it was also the absolute maximum.
