The head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Sergey Dankvert called exaggeration resonant statement by its assistant Alexey Alekseenko about the volumes of counterfeit goods on the Russian market.

"My assistant here, of course, got excited, as any man who wants to show the importance of their organization", — said Sergei Dankvert in an interview with TV channel "Russia 24".

The Minister noted that "actually the problem is", but "it is not that not enough products and the fact that people are ruining greed."

"They started to falsify and forge in order to simply earn more money. But it has a negative effect overall on the development of the market, because the market should not be distorted", — said S. Dankvert.

Recall, January 13, assistant head of the Rosselkhoznadzor Alexey Alekseenko in his speech at the Gaidar forum said that regular spot checks conducted by the Agency show that steadily falsified a quarter of all food products in Russia.

According to him, the mass adulteration of food products is a "problem that inflicts enormous damage and can bring him even more".

Later, this statement was rejected in a press-service of Ropotrebnadzor, stating that the quality of Russian products significant raises no objections.
