The weighted average tariff rate "Plato" in 2017 will be lower than proposed by the transport Ministry with a step-rate increase, said Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
 

"There will be a meeting, it is planned in the spring but a specific date I will not name, because the decision should be taken by the Chairman, and specific numbers too. In any case, the average rate for this year will be below that which was proposed by the transport Ministry as the result of a two-step increase", — said Dvorkovich.

The "Plato" introduced on 15 November 2015. The money goes to the road Fund in the form of compensation for the destruction of the tracks by trucks weighing more than 12 tons.

The tariff was put in operation in November 2015 system currently is 1.53 rubles per kilometer instead of the originally planned 3.73 ruble. The Ministry of transport of the Russian Federation proposed to increase rates from February 2017 to 2.61 rubles per kilometer, in June of the same year to 3.06 rubles per kilometer.
