This was announced by the Chairman of the Union of fishermen of the Republic of Karelia Ilya Rakowski the government of the region on Tuesday.

"A very big project, the biggest for the North West region on a number of parameters, we plan to implement in Kondopoga. To apply for attracting investment quota, a draft of a plant for deep processing of cod and haddock, in fillets, the production of salted-dried fish processing for trout and the production of flour. The project is very costly – it is now more than 1.1 billion rubles in the budget costs. It is planned to place the enterprise in Kondopoga on the plot next to the bakery," said I. Rakowski.

As noted by I. Rakovsky, to participate in the project intend some company. The project envisages construction of a plant processing capacity of 30 thousand tons of raw materials per year. It is planned the creation of at least 100 new jobs. The developers expect until October 2017 to complete the design of the object, and then start to build a enterprise and purchase equipment.
