A document signed by the Governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov and General Director of JSC "FosAgro" Andrey Guriev, aims to contribute to sustainable development of agro-industrial complex of the Vologda region and is an example of an effective mechanism of public-private partnerships.

Governor of the Vologda region Oleg Kuvshinnikov noted that, despite the difficult pricing environment in the global fertiliser Group PhosAgro continued to implement large-scale investment program of industrial and social projects, doubled its tax payments to the budget of the Vologda region – more than 3.3 billion rubles.

"Largely thanks to the cooperation with the Group "FosAgro", which constantly develops its production capacity and warehouse infrastructure, creates favorable conditions for agricultural producers, last year the farmers of the area showed record growth in production of most important products. I believe that this agreement will help our agriculture to go to an even higher level", — said Oleg Kuvshinnikov.

In turn, General Director of JSC PhosAgro Andrey Guryev thanked the government of the Vologda region and personally the Governor for the support of investment, production and social projects of the company.

"This year, PhosAgro plans to complete a cycle of major investments that will allow to increase total production of all fertilizers to 8.5 million tonnes by 2020 from the amount of slightly less than 6 million tons a few years ago. Currently in the domestic market, which will always be a priority for our company, there is growth of consumption, caused by the boom in agricultural production of Russia. And I'm sure the agro-industrial complex of the Vologda region, largely due to the deliberate policy of the authorities and our support will continue to rapidly evolve and expand," — said Andrey Guriev.

The government of the Vologda region and PhosAgro closely and fruitfully cooperating for many years. In September 2010 between Vologda oblast government and OAO PhosAgro signed an agreement on cooperation in implementing investment and social programs "FosAgro" in the Vologda region. This agreement allowed us to enter the investment projects and social programs into a unified strategy for socio-economic development of the Vologda region.
