The Minister of agriculture of the Russian Federation Alexander Tkachev, proposes to toughen sanctions against manufacturers who refuse to label dairy products containing palm oil. The Minister stated on air of TV channel "Russia 24".

"We should strictly punish those who do not declare the components of vegetable fat," he said. "There will be serious penalties imposed for those who are not identified or cheated, until the closing of factories. This will be an effective measure", — said Tkachev.

The Minister said that unscrupulous manufacturers becomes smaller. "I think less. We have a number of very serious measures introduced today. Moreover, changing the technical regulations in EurAsEC below in large letters write on the packaging of milk, or kefir, or sour milk, this product contains vegetable oil, so palm oil", — he said.

According to the Minister, as a result of these measures, the manufacturer will be profitable to use palm oil, and this product will gradually withdraw from the market.
