Earlier, the press service of the regional Department of Rosselkhoznadzor reported that the experts of the Federal centre for animal health (fgbi "ARRIAH") revealed the genome of bird flu in three dead swans on the river Pregolya in Kaliningrad. "You must install limiting measures (quarantine) in a separate area of the riverbed of the Pregolya river municipal formation "city of Kaliningrad"... for a period of not less than 21 days after registration of the last case of the disease highly pathogenic avian influenza and conduct final disinfection," reads the text of the decree.

Threatening area is defined the area within a radius of 5 kilometers from epizootic hearth, the surveillance area – 10 kilometers from the borders of the hearth. The decree restricts the movement of traffic and population, as well as the export of poultry and poultry products, dog poultry within the hearth.
